Hand crafted scroll feather decoration on the front, back and lid and has a central vacant shield cartouche on the front . It is gilt lined (worn) with a hinged lid with secure snap closure. It has a rigid bale and loop on the side for attaching to a watch chain and a striking plate on the bottom. Measures approx = 4.5cms x 4.5cms and weighs = 32.2grms. It has a large compass one side, a mirror on the other and two sets of different sized magnifying glasses that fold out to use as binoculars. The compass is clearly marked Bavaria and is working perfectly. The handle extends out to focus the glasses. It is in good condition with no damage to any of the glass pieces or the compass and the mirror is also intact, there is just light surface wear.
